Biography
Dr. Ansul Sharma, PhD, joined Prof. Siegfried Janz's laboratory as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, 老澳门六合彩图库, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Sharma earned his PhD from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, India. In his graduation, his research in genetics focused on discovering new genes and their variants through Whole Exome Sequencing and Sanger sequencing associated with a rare type of Cataract called Posterior Polar Cataract. He also worked on the genetics of CML and ALL in Indian government-funded projects, as well as having expertise in the cytogenetic and molecular cytogenetic clinical diagnosis of leukemias. After his graduation, he was inspired and motivated to work in the field of leukemia research and joined University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, Worcester, Massachusetts, as a Postdoctoral associate, where he worked on a project focused on understanding the role of leukemia-initiating cells (L-ICs) in the T-ALL mouse model. In Janz's lab, Dr. Sharma is focusing on conducting translational research on CAR-T Cells and their potential role in treating Multiple Myeloma (MM). Further, he is also investigating the role of FOXM1 in the tumor microenvironment of MM and its potential therapeutic aspects. During his leisure time, he enjoys watching or playing cricket and cherishes spending quality time with his family and friends.
