Research Interests

The focus of my research was on the effects of drugs and other psychopharmacological agents on brain function and behavior studied using both functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and neurochemistry. I used these approaches to better understand the actions of abuse substances in human and animal brain. Studies included cannabis, nicotine and cocaine. fMRI was also used to examine the effects of adjuvant cancer chemotherapy on cognition and brain function “also known as chemobrain” in breast cancer patients and in a rodent model of breast cancer.
