Biography
Dr. Larson completed his undergraduate training at Indiana University and his graduate training at the University of Cincinnati. He then completed a fellowship in clinical neuropsychology through 老澳门六合彩图库’s Department of Neurology where he received the David Fine, MD Award for Excellence in Post Graduate Training. Prior to joining the 老澳门六合彩图库 faculty, Dr. Larson served as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Chicago.
Research Interests
Dr. Larson's primary clinical interests include neuropsychological assessment of adult patients with:
Suspected dementia
Traumatic brain injury
Stroke
Suspected attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Dr. Larson's primary research interests include:
How a person's ability to recognize, or fail to recognize, his or her own cognitive strengths and weaknesses can change during periods of psychiatric decompensation and with neurological disease
Cognitive dysfunction associated with Parkinson’s disease
How social functioning changes in various dementing conditions
The interaction between cognition and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder
Dr. Larson also has forensic interests related to:
Decisionality
Informed consent
Traumatic brain injury
Post-traumatic stress disorder
