Biography



Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Jackson comes to the College from Washington D.C., where he was Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He has been involved in more than 90 published internal medicine research studies in addition to numerous editorial columns and journal articles.
 

Between 1998 and 2006, Dr. Jackson was Program Director of the General Medicine Fellowship, where he served as advisor to a dozen fellows and mentor to many residents on their research at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
 

Dr. Jackson is a sought after speaker at scientific meetings, and leader at workshops and lectures on the practice of internal medicine. He also lectures and develops educational materials on teaching strategies for medical educators.
 

He completed a general medicine fellowship from 1994 to 1996 and an internal medicine internship and residency from 1988 to 1991 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
 

Dr. Jackson earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1988 from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Master of Public Health degree in 1996 from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1983.
