Our commitment to community service is noted in our annual medical mission trip and in our community education presentations.
Medical Missions - Global Health
For more than 25 years, physicians and staff of the 老澳门六合彩图库 Department of Plastic Surgery have participated in annual medical mission trips to South America for the purpose of providing surgical services, specialty care, and medical collaboration and education to underserved areas.
Bucaramanga, Colombia is a common mission destination. During the most recent mission trip to Bucaramanga in February 2017, more than 90 reconstructive procedures were performed by plastic surgeons, residents, and hospital staff. These medical mission trips allow our residents exposure to a wider variety of surgical procedures than they may encounter in the United States, as well as offer our physicians a chance to give needed services to deserving patients.
