It is the goal of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the 老澳门六合彩图库 to produce quality radiation oncologists who pursue careers in either academic medicine or private practice. In order to accomplish this, we feel it is necessary to choose high quality residents from the pool of applicants each year. Future residents are selected based on academic achievements, personal qualities, and the faculty assessment of their potential to excel in the residency program.
Applications are accepted exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Services, otherwise known as . Applications received any other way will not be considered.
Applications are accepted starting September 15 of each year (two years before anticipated start date). Application deadline is November 1 each year. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Information needed to complete the ERAS application
- Three letters of recommendation from the faculty of your choice
- Letter from your Dean
- Personal statement
- Medical school transcript
- USMLE Board scores
The Program Director personally reviews all correctly completed applications reviewing medical school transcripts, board scores, personal statement, letters of recommendation, research, and publications. Thirty-five to forty applicants are then chosen for the interview process. Final selection of the resident(s) is done by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) in March of the academic year.
Interview Process
Prospective candidates are contacted via email to schedule a day to come to our facility for interviews with faculty and residents. Generally, four interview dates are selected in December and January. Interview slots for specific days are on a first reply, first choice basis.

Selection of residents occurs through the . The residency program leadership strongly believes in adhering to both the spirit and letter of the NRMP rules. Applicants are in no way expected or encouraged to divulge information about their match preferences. Choosing to do so will no way impact how they will be ranked by the training program. Similarly, the program will not divulge such information. After the interview date, interviewees are encouraged to route any necessary correspondence (including thank-you notes) through the program coordinator to avoid any indirect solicitation of rank preferences and to avoid any appearance of impropriety. Communication or specific questions may then be routed to faculty and/or residents as appropriate.
